PROFILE

FIBA U17 World Cup- July 2024
By Artau Pascual

NBA-caliber body. Above-average athlete. As in the recent events, Trefle hasn’t been able to find an offensive rhythm. The lack of playmakers who fed him in pick&roll harmed his production: his offensive attributes rely on being assisted by other teammates. Trefle needs to improve as a finisher in the restricted area: he has the body to play bigger and handle the contact. His mid-range shot keeps trending in the right direction, and the mechanics look OK. No post-up game upside, face-up. On defense, Trefle’s lateral quickness is good enough to eventually do the 4, and he’s very switchable as a 5. Better rim-protector in non-contact situations than if he has to pack the paint.

ANGT Paris- April 2024

Trefle has impressive motor and defensive potential. NBA potential: undersized big-man. High ceiling, still very raw. Wide shoulders. Good length. High IQ player. Efficient. Moves well off the ball. Mainly a finisher now. Doesn't put the ball on the floor. Doesn't stretch the floor, but knows how to move around the floor. Good screener. He's always the first to get on 50/50 balls. Tough rebounder. Makes many intangibles. He has the potential to turn into a defensive anchor in a top-level European club. Impressive mix of physical upside and mobility. Doesn't struggle to switch on the perimeter. NBA potential as high motor and versatile undersized big-man.

FIBA U16 European Championship- August 2023
By Artau Pascual

His body is impressive: broad shoulders, no fat, really athletic lower body. Great leaper, plays with a relentless motor and high-level activity. On the offensive end, he projects as a lob threat with good instincts for baseline cuts and an efficient roll game. He doesn’t put the ball on the floor and needs to work on his shooting range, as well as on his touch. On the defensive end, he has great shot-blocking instincts and covers a huge amount of ground in the paint. He can switch and lower his center of gravity to stay in front of ball handlers at the current level.
